BOTOX

Botox® injections for reducing Frown and Worry Lines, migraine and tension headaches and Hyperhidrosis

There is no other wrinkle treatment like Botox. A tiny Botox injection relaxes away deep, persistent lines and wrinkles that develop from the automatic contraction of muscles when you are worried, angry, sad or simply stressed. Lines and wrinkles formed by these muscle contractions are referred to as “dynamic”. Over time these repeated muscle contractions form more permanent lines and wrinkles. Botox is not just a “fix” for those dynamic wrinkles, but also prevents the deep furrows that come with repeated muscle activity.

For the face and neck

FDA approved for treatment of wrinkles in the glabellar or frown area in 2002, Botox is now the number one cosmetic procedure done in the United States. Botox® is stopping the effects time has on your face and hands, actually turning back the hands of father time. Botox® can also be used to eliminate the wrinkles horizontally across your forehead, the crows feet around the eyes and the “bunny” wrinkles across your nose. It can open your eye, reduce the wrinkles under the eye, or be used to arch and lift the brow. It can treat wrinkles on the chin as well as be used to lift a drooping mouth. It can soften the wrinkles around the mouth and equalize an asymmetrical face. It can be used to treat the neck and help resolve both the turtle neck as well as the horizontal rings on the neck. And finally it can be used to reduce the wrinkles that form on the decolletage. While the result is dramatic, it does not radically change your facial appearance. The muscles are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile, or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases

Botox® can be used in any of the 44 muscles of the face and a special understanding of facial anatomy and the chemical itself makes Dr. Humble outstanding in this treatment.

The procedure takes about five minutes, is done on an outpatient basis and is relatively inexpensive. After your Botox® treatment you may resume all normal activities. Most results begin to show in four days with the full benefits realized in about 14 days. If those expression lines are making you older than your years, or give you the appearance of a frown or scowl, then discover Botox®and put on a happy face!

The Botox® Brow Lift

Botox has the wonderful capacity to provide a non surgical brow lift. Yes, it’s temporary, but once you’ve experienced it, you’ll love it. For some, a lowered brow is pure genetics. For others, it’s simply part of aging and experiencing the worries of life. No matter what the reason, if you can consciously raise your brow, you can get lift effect from Botox

Botox® for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating):

Hyperhidrosis is a disorder of excessive sweating that for a great deal of patients can cause considerable emotional strain. Patients afflicted with this disorder can routinely soak through clothing in a matter of minutes, and must resort to the use of pads, shields, absorbent tissues, and frequently have to change their clothing just to cope with the constant embarrassment.

Today, chronic sufferers of Hyperhidrosis can enjoy relief thanks to the use of Botox® Injections. A recent study conducted in Europe has concluded that through a series of Botox® injections, (approximately every 4 to 6 months) patients experience relatively complete relief from the symptoms with virtually no side effects. Imagine the freedom to now wear the clothing of your choice without the constant fear and stigma that has been attached to this condition for so long. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your treatment options.

Botox® in treatment of Tension and Migraine Headaches:

Years after doctors discovered Botox®’s uncanny ability to smooth out wrinkles and quell tremors, a new benefit has been uncovered.Botulism Toxin seems to alleviate migraine headaches. In a preliminary study, half the patients whose foreheads were injected with tiny amounts of the drug Botox®, reported that there migraine headaches disappeared and stayed away for up to four months.Botox® works equally well or better for treatment of tension headaches. Dr. Humble is adept at both treatments and will give you the appropriate codes to pass on to your insurance company.

What is a Botox® Cosmetic treatment like?

Botox® procedures are quick, simple, with no anesthesia required because any pain is very minimal. Injections are administered with an ultra-fine needle directly into the area being treated. Discomfort is minimal and brief, and once complete, there is usually no pain, though there may be some minor bruising if you have recently used pain relievers other than Tylenol or Vitamin E. If you’re like most patients, you’ll return directly to work or normal activity immediately afterwards.

What areas can be treated with Botox® Cosmetic?

Botox® treatments can be performed in a number of locations, including between your brows, crows’ feet and eye area, smile lines, and neck. Effects of Botox® appear within a few days and generally last from four to six months.
